At my studio, I aim for transparency and integrity in regards to every aspect of my relationships with clients. Openly communicating the production process and cost of the products I provide is one way of assuring ongoing relationships built on trust and mutual respect. Transparency and professionalism are not contradictory.
The open pricing of design services is not a common practice in the creative industries. There are a number of reasons for this — not excluding fear of open competitive pricing — but the primary reason is the numerous variables that arise in the process of determining the requirements of a project and the goals of the client. Most creatives are reluctant to name a price before they hear the specific requirements of a project. This is wise. But, pricing is not alchemy or magic, and the client has the right know what to expect.
With that in mind, the pricing I provide in the following pages reflect the minimum costs of the associated products. They are a starting point for determining what a professional, premium quality design or illustration from my studio will cost you. These prices do not take into account the size or complexity of your project, the particular usage rights you might need, rush fees, the possibility of added revisions or additional requests that might arise in the process of completing a project.
Further, these prices do not include the cost for production or manufacturing.
What these prices do reflect is the reasonable minimum that any creative professional should expect in compensation for their work, and what any professional seeking premium creative services should expect to pay*. Further, some of the pricing structures do include a consideration of minimal usage fees (this is noted when they are included). It may be that the price you see here will be the actual invoiced amount, and if it will be any more than what you see here, you will know beforehand. I promise that you will never experience an unpleasant surprise when you get the bill.
If you would like a specific, written estimate for your project, please do not hesitate to contact the studio for a meeting. I am happy to discuss any questions you might have about your project, the production process, my per diem & hourly rates, and the studio’s comprehensive range of services. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.
