All pricing quoted here reflects the minimum rate(s) for presentation of artwork; these prices include GST. See the “Note on Pricing” for more information.

Depending on your needs and the complexity of the particular project, the process generally includes the following phases:

1. Research & curate primary reference(s).
2. 3-5 initial rough sketches will be produced.
3. Client has choice of one design for finalization.
4. After presentation of final artwork, Client may request two rounds of minor revisions.
5. Further revisions will be billed at the studio’s hourly rate.

Under some circumstances a client may wish to cancel or reject artwork. If the client chooses to not move forward after sketches are presented, a cancellation fee of [½ full fee] will be paid for completion of sketches. If artwork is completed to final and client cancels, the full fee will be paid along with all accrued expenses.

How long will it take?

The following numbers are averages based on projects of minimal complexity, and include a basic average of meeting times and 2 simple revisions. These averages will provide you with a good idea of the turn-around time you need to consider when ordering illustration for your project.

Production + Management = Time

Spot/ Qtr pg | 3.5 hrs production + 1 hrs management = 4.5 hrs

1/2 pg | 7 hrs/ 1 working day production + 1.5 hrs management = 8.5 hrs

Full pg | 12 hrs/ 2 working days production time +  2 hrs management = 14 hrs

Cover | 18 hrs/ 3 working days production time +  2 hrs management = 20 hrs

Spread | 24 hrs/ 4 working days production time + 2 hrs management = 26 hrs
